What is RVU? RVU is a standard that is being set by several companies to progress how electronics communicate with each other for TV, internet, and more.
The HR34 acts as the server and RVU Enabled devices like TVs, blue-ray players, tablets, and computers, act as a client. This makes it possible to bring content to multiple devices in the house, without the use of a receiver at each outlet.
TV’s without RVU or RVU Enabled components will require a set top box. This is similar to when TV’s were built with the Cable Ready function, where they would not require a cable box to get programming. However RVU standard allows for a much richer experience, with programming guides, picture-in-picture, access to on-demand, internet, and shared media.
