New HD Local Network Launches on DISH Network – Detroit and St. Louis – Effective July 6, 2006
HD Locals are planned to launch in two additional DMAs – Detroit and St. Louis, effective July 6, 2006.
This brings the total number of HD local markets to 26!
HD Locals in these two DMAs will require a DISH 500+ or DISH 1000+ to receive them
International Services Moving to 118.7 Orbital Slot DISH Network will begin broadcasting the following International languages from the 118.7 orbital location. This new orbital location will be viewed with a DISH 500+ (which also includes 110/119) or with a DISH 1000+ (including 110/119/129).
