The Professional-Grade High Definition 20dB Fixed Gain Satellite/Transponder Selector is the only known satellite selector (or polarity locker) with a fixed gain 20dB amplifier included in the design. Operational over the frequency range of 250 MHz to 2150 MHz, the Satellite Selector is capable of receiving and amplifying all of the new High Definition (HD) TV channels as well as the current Standard Definition (SD) channels available from DIRECTV. The device selects and amplifies both even and odd transponder signals from satellites 99°, 101°, 103°, 110°, and 119°.

The 4-Channel Satellite Selector has a gain of >20 dB for each of its four channels. It is used primarily in large residential satellite TV installations where long cable runs create too much signal loss. Amplifying the signal before HD capable multi-switches and splitters with a Fixed Gain Satellite Selector resolves the signal loss issue and also reduces total system noise figure. This configuration results in an overall improvement in system Signal/Noise ratio. Under certain conditions, inherent design features of the Fixed Gain Satellite Selector may reduce the ""rain fade"" issue so common in many residential satellite TV installations.
The Satellite Selector is designed to work with the High Definition ""Slim Line"" AU9-S Ka/Ku band 5 LNB dish antenna. Installation of the Satellite Selector is very simple as any of the four ""Slim Line"" dish outputs are connected to any of the four Satellite Selector input ports. Then the four Satellite Selector output ports are connected to the corresponding HD capable multi-switch inputs.
As is the case with all HDTV Labs products, the High Definition 20dB Fixed Gain Satellite/Transponder Selector is designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.
