It's true, our HOTDISH90 does cost more to ship than other dishes.  Want to know why?  Read this to get a better understanding.

The 90cm dish is much larger than most 90cm dishes.  We also use heavy walled custom fit boxes with styro-foam inserts to protect the dish from damage during shipping.

Take a look at most of the 90cm dishes on the market.  They aren't a full 90cm and most can ship oversize 1 or oversize 2.  Fortecs 90cm can ship by oversize 1 (depending on boxing) while our 90cm ships by oversize 3 making a difference in the shipping costs.  You can see the measure of the HOTDISH90 at http://www.aimsat.com/90specs.html.  You will see our short axis measures 90cm and the long axis is 99cm giving you a dish that is almost 1 meter measure on the long axis.  This is one of the largest dishes you can legally put in sub-divisions.  See http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html#QA for more information.
